Article 1: Name

The name of this organization will be Traders Federation of Sopore, which will be a complete structure of all trader organizations of locality.

Article 2: Area of operation

It will function within the limits of the Municipal Council Sopore and to its sub urbs falling with in three-kilometer radius.

Article 3: Definitions

1. The term "officers" refers to those persons who are appointed as office bearers in the Working Committee and other committees.
2. Members refer to those individuals who are appointed members of the working Committee, General Council and other committees.
3. Basic member means those persons themselves or their nominated partners who trade in their own or rented shop within the prescribed limits and have obtained membership after paying the prescribed fee. For a basic member, it is mandatory that he is not a government employee.
4. No government employee can become a basic member of traders during his service. After retirement, under subsection 3 of section 3 a retiree can be a basic member of the federation. In order to be a position holder he must have five years business experience.

Article 4: Aims and Objectives

1. The Federation will strive to keep all the traders of Sopore united through its continuous efforts.
2. The Federation will continue to work for the welfare of traders.
3. The Federation will remain active in resolving the legitimate problems of traders without discrimination.
4. The Federation shall assist each Basic Member by making legitimate interventions in trade matters.
5. The Federation shall maintain liaison with various departments such as Electricity, Water Works, Municipal Council Administration and other departments for the benefit of its core members and the general public.
6. The Federation will remain up and doing in resolving disputes between owners and tenants, traders and buyers, traders and authorities, traders and traders, etc. It will intervene and try to bring about peace, reconciliation and reconciliation.
7. The Federation will absolutely not support any illegal business.
8. The Federation will not encourage hoarding, adulteration of food items, etc., and illegal business.
9. The Federation shall, to the extent possible, endeavor to provide financial and moral support to any of its core members affected by a disaster.
10. The Federation arranges to keep traders informed about the decisions and orders of various departments and the government from time to time will remain.
11. It shall be the primary duty of the Federation to protect the legitimate interests of each basic member.
